I am working on a mare that has just recently been diagnosed navicular. X-rays show slight vascular changes in both front feet. The vet. has prescribed the application of spoon heeled shoes. My question is has anyone tried this treatment before and with what degree of success. I should also say that this horse has under run and contracted heels, big suprise huh.
