One of the main problems I see in donkeys and mules is that people try to trim them like a horse. This results in too much tension being placed on the anterior wall and predisposes to wall separation and its resultant problems.
A correct "mule trim" may be all that is needed along with the resection to alleviate the problem. She may not need shoes at all.
