Hello all. We have a problem with a mini that we do. Blaze is 3 years old, about 30", very correct. We do 9 minis for this customer, and have been for a year (every 6 weeks). Blaze has always had very nice feet. Good shape, good wall, etc. Well this last time, there was a change. Both of his back feet are growing under on the outside heel. It has changed his walk, he is landing outside first and then pivoting the foot. We trimmed him a bit lower on the inside to try to correct it, cautiously at 3 yrs old. It didn't seem to help. The vet came (regular appt) and said , maybe corrective shoes, but admitted she was not a farrier. We do not want to try to shoe him, his feet are the size of a silver dollar. The vet said there are no problems with his pastern, fetlock, or legs, and he is not in pain. The one thing we noticed is.......Soft ground. It has rained in our area for weeks, and they are on grass, mud, straw in the field. Nothing rough or solid. Also, he is somewhat overweight (they all are). Any help, advice, ideas, etc. would be much appreciated. Thank You!
