Do you always use the shoe with the rails? I used the dimensions from a Charlie from Ohio and made a pair of steel ones the other night. They are relatively straight forward to forge. Now, all I need is the guts to nail them on something. Ric wasn't real clear on his parameters for his use of the rails and the "air wedge".
