: I'm intrigued by the 4-point trim. Like the way horses travel with the breakover moved. But...how do I put a shoe on a hoof trimmed in this manner? Do I shape the shoe to fit the trim, or what?

You don't. The 'barefoot' hoof trim is diffeent than the hoof prep for a shoe.(Whether NB or 4 point)
I strongly suggest you study both the 4 point and NB *shoeing* methods (the two methods are slightly different) before you try to shoe to either protocol. The hoof prep is VERY critical when applying either shoeing method. Patty
