: Thought I should update this, since there have been further developments. It was hard to believe we had a sinker, when the horse would let me pick up both feet & was only lame on one. The vet had never used as hoof tested on him. I did, &, although I'm definately not a vet, he never appeared to flinch. The owner opted for a second opinion, which turned out to be a diagnosis of sesamoditiis. That makes a bit more sense. & I guess it goes to show that sometimes, if things don't make sense, it's because they really don't make sense.
I love it..the vet never even used a hoof tester (a standard part of basic lameness diagnostics ). And folks wonder why I get sometimes get critical of vets in certain situations..geesh. Patty
