To day seem like a great day to make my first blog for the new F&HRC we site. By the way great job on the new site Baron.
The day started out driving to one of my favorite clients to do eleven trims. The weather in Indiana is great today, but wait a minute it will change. It all work out great as we had to trim the horse out side under a shade tree do to the barn had bin flooded out from all the rain we have bin getting. Had a great time conversing with the clients (to of the nicest people I know). Helped them out with a feeding problem they were having wrote the bill, and scheduled the next appointment in time to drive an hour to see a Rick Wheat Noavel halter clinic.
It was somewhat Ironic to trim at this barn on the same day I went to a noavel clinic. As 2 years a go when we started this barn a few of the horses had what I call new farrier syndrome. A few times with the Noavel, and now to day all eleven walk up stand to be trimmed on a loose line with out the Noavel.
I would not say the Noavel is the only tool in my horsemen box, but I would hat to go back to the days before I had the halter, and knowledge. Just like any trade over time the toolbox fills with tools and knowledge. With that time comes wisdom to know when, and what tool to pull from the box for the job at hand. I find my self-reaching for the Noavel, before the situation gets out of hand. Just like any tool there is a proper way to use it, and we will always find an improper way. Used correctly it works well.
Till next time
