Most of the time you can adequately have your questions answered on one of the Bulletin Boards, of which there are now 30 in operation. Occasionally, however, there are times when you'd like to have a "real time" in-depth conversation with a professional farrier and/or veterinarian.

Now you can. The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center is now offering Personal Consultation with Dr. M.W. Myers (our Resident Vet). We are fortunate in that Dr. Myers is both a farrier and a veterinarian.

Here's how it works:

• The cost is $45 for the first 30 minutes. (That is the minimum charge.) After the first 30 minutes have passed, you'll be charged $5 per 5 minute increment, until your consultation ends.
• To schedule a consultation, fill out the Consultation Request Form. Be sure to pick a time slot that's convenient for you. If the consultant calls when you've requested, and you're not there, requiring a call-back, you will be charged an extra $10.
• DO NOT attempt to call a consultant. The consultant will call you. Consultants will only provide consultations in response to properly submitted Consultation Request Forms.
• Try to schedule your consultations at least 1 day in advance. Requests for consultations made the same day may not be possible. All consultations will be confirmed by e-mail.
