How to Make
The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center
the Home Page of your Browser
(The easiest way to use these instructions is to print
them using your browser's "print" function.)
(When you're done with this page, use your browser's "Back"
button to return to the previous page.)
Every time you start your browser it automatically goes
to a default home page. If you use Netscape, the browser takes you to the
Netscape home page. If you use Internet Explorer (IE), the MSN home page
is displayed.
Wouldn't it be nice to be taken straight to the
largest, most comprehensive farrier-related Site instead? We thought you'd
think so. By following these easy instructions you can change your
browser's default home page in about a minute, and from then on, when you
start your browser, you'll come straight to The Farrier & Hoofcare
Resource Center. (Also, when you click on your browser's "Home Page"
icon, you'll be taken to The Resource Center.)
If you use Netscape as your browser:
- Start Netscape, and go to The Farrier & Hoofcare
Resource Center home page. (URL: http://www.horseshoes.com)
- Click on the "Edit" heading, in the upper
left-hand corner of the screen.
- A "drop-down" box appears. At the bottom
of the list you will see "Preferences." Click on it.
- In the dialog box that appears on the screen, find
the section titled "Home Page."
- You will see a text box named "Location"
in that section, with a URL (web address) already in it.
- Click on the "Use Current Page" button.
- Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of
the dialog box, and you're done!
If you use Internet Explorer as your browser:
- Start Internet Explorer and go to The Farrier &
Hoofcare Resource Center home page. (URL: http://www.horseshoes.com)
- Click on the "View" menu at the top of the
screen or hit Alt V. This will open the View list.
- Click on "Internet Options" on the bottom
of the list.
- On the "General" Tab, Home Page will be on
top.
- Click on the "Use Current" button.
- Click on "Apply" at the bottom of the
dialog box.
- Click on "OK," and you're done.
