Before anyone gets the idea that some of the information posted on this site will have its access restricted, lets get it straight right now: All information on this site will continue to be accessible to all browsers, free of charge. That has always been our policy, and it will not change.
With that out of the way, we invite you to become an Associate Member of The Resource Center. For the paultry amount of 16¢ a day, you will not only help The Resource Center continue to grow, but you'll also be able to take advantage of valuable opportunities offered to Associate Members only.
Why should you join to help The Resource Center grow? Because we are the largest, most comprehensive site on the web devoted to farriery and hoofcare. Over 75,000 pages. Not the most glamorous subject to be sure, but the single most important one if you care for horses. And when you need information, this is the place to find it.
When The Resource Center started, I had no idea it would grow to such gargantuan proportions. It has grown so large that it's difficult for me to answer the hundreds of e-mail letters it generates every day, and continue to build and improve the Site. I have to hire help. Your Associate Membership will help me do that.
If helping The Resource Center isn't reason enough to join, perhaps these Member Advantages will appeal to you:
This year one Associate Member will be selected at random from the membership roster. This is what that member will receive.
If the selected member is a farrier, they will have the choice of:
- Receiving $2,000 worth of farrier supplies from companies in The Marketplace, or
- Receiving the cost of domestic air-fare, hotel accommodations and $500 spending money, to attend an AFA Convention, or the Guild of Professional Farriers Convention, or
- A $2,000 credit at a farrier school in the Farrier Schools section, so they can brush up on technique and learn new skills.
If the selected member is not a farrier, they will have the choice of:
- A $2,000 credit at a farrier school in the Farrier Schools section, so they may start their farriery education, or
- Receiving $2,000 worth of hoofcare supplies (including books and videos!) from companies in The Marketplace, or
- Receiving the cost of domestic air-fare, hotel accommodations and $500 spending money, to attend an AFA Convention, or the Guild of Professional Farriers Convention, so they may attend the lectures, seminars, and meet with the farriers, or
- Receiving $1,500 worth of farrier care for their horses.
All of these opportunities, for only 16¢ a day !!
In addition, all Associate Members will:
- Receive membership cards.
- A Membership Certificate, suitable for framing.
- The exclusive ability to download and save educational audio and video programs from a new section we're developing, The Resource Center Educational Library.
- Be invited to participate in Members Only chats.
- Be informed of various discounts on merchandise or services which will be available to Associate Members only.
- Associate Members who are farriers will be listed in the Farrier Finder at no charge.
If our Associate Membership grows as large as we think it will, we have many other activities and opportunities planned, such as an Associate Member Convention. There's no telling where this will lead, but we need your membership to make it happen!
