Our mission is to provide the format and opportunity for female farriers to meet each other and share ideas. We will provide the avenues for association, recognition, education, communication, encouragement, product development, business development, insurance, advertisement, and the like. This association will become whatever you, the Sisterhood of Shoers, decide is important to us as an association.

As you all have learned, we must approach the art and trade of horseshoeing differently than our male counterparts. Heading a business is also somewhat different for a woman. Our goal as an association is to provide as many ways as possible to help each other. This can be done through the Internet, the postal system, and in person. We intend to provide not only a national association but associations in every state, as well.

Our first annual convention will take place as soon as we have enough members to warrant convening. So join NOW! Every association or group needs common ground and a goal. Our common ground is that we are all female horseshoers. The goal we have is simple: we want to help each other become better at our trade. Along the path, each of you will make valuable contributions to that end. Let’s get started!
