2006 Fall Contest, Certification, and Clinic update
Hey everyone,
On behalf of all the MEFA Officers and Directors, would like to thank
everyone for making our 2006 Fall Contest/Clinic a success. We had over
30 competitors, including a live 3-Man Live Draft Class on Sunday. Attendance
was great all three days including a full banquet and auction.
I would like to thank all of our class sponsors as well as everyone who
graciously donated to our auction. I would like to offer special thanks
to Austin Edens our Judge/Clinician sponsored by Mustad, St. Croix, and
Capewell.
There is quite an additional list of those deserving our thanks. I'll
try to mention a few here and provide a more complete list in the next
news letter.
Findlay University for the use of their facility, horses and student holders.
Mike Trout and Dr. Lori Galeton for providing their draft horses and care
for the “3-Man Live Draft” class, and everything Trey Green
did to make the live draft happen. Adam Pendleton for the draft steel.
Stewarts, Scribe and helpers: Mike Augentein, Tim Dodd, Steve Muir, Andy
and Shadow.
Bobby Menker for help with the facility and his very “engaging”
auctioneering technique.
Our Pres. Bob Hawk for help in designing and procuring the new High Point
Buckles and well as his patient guidance.
AFA Examiner Steve Morris and Toby Burdette for the certification.
. . . and the list goes on and on of those who made this event work.
But let us not forget. . .
Our 2006 Speed Class winner: Peg Menker and family for the outstanding
meals on Saturday & Sunday. She volunteered with very short notice.
Thank You Very Much.
