The annual Old Farts hammer in was held at Rich Petersons on May 20th. The morning started off with a short business meeting, and then demo’s by a bunch of old farts, most of who have been members of the association longer than I have been alive. Ken Wurst, and Randy Luikart put handmade shoes on the first horse. Then Ralph Eckart glues shoes on the front of the second horse, and Jim Bondra made sliding plates for the hind. After a short break for lunch the rest of the day was spent making shoes. Many thanks to the Peterson family for the use of the facilities.
