The American Farriers Association held the annual convention in Omaha Nebraska in February. Current AFA officers are as follows:

Several Mid-Eastern Farriers Association members competed in the forging contest. They are Trey Green, Jim Foy, and the father son team of Jason and Dennis Hill competed in the Draft class. Congratulations to Trey Green who earned a spot on the 2006 AFA Team. Also, Jim Bondra won honors in the best shoeing rig contest.

Attention: The deadline for The Horsemen’s Corral has changed. It is now the 10th of the month. MEFA would be more than happy to publish articles from the membership, as well as upcoming farrier/blacksmith events but articles must be submitted to me (Adam Pendleton) by the 9th of the month.
